Carl's temperament is very sweet and affectionate towards people. He is dog-neutral but is more independent. Carl is serious when working on sheep, has great shedding skills, and is a straight shooter on the drive. Sheep respect and like him; they move off him with ease, but can handle the tough range or Rambouillet sheep.

Shaq was bred by, raised, and trained by Angie Driscoll before being moved on. Shaq wound up in Canada and has trialled under Pro-Novice several times, he is now enjoying being a very useful, much-needed, and practical farm dog. He is around 21.5" tall and 45lbs, an extremely friendly dog towards everyone and every dog, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and a big happy face.
