Lyra is from my good friend George Walker from out West. This litter was a repeat breeding from 2020, and the first cross is doing well in their respective venues.

Lyra was plucked off the farm and took the world by storm! She and I flew from Alberta to Ontario and took the flights like a champion. Lyra oozes confidence, is curious about her surroundings, is attentive, and very friendly with everyone she meets. She was a fearless puppy and had been bombproof about all her experiences. Nothing rattled this girl's nerves, and she remains the same to this day. A real take-anywhere-and-do-anything dog.

I started Lyra's formal training in the early summer of 2024, and she's progressed quite well. I opted to send her off in the spring of 2025 for a bit to learn some new things and fix some of my errors. I'd best describe Lyra as having a fair amount of forward, a good pace and a lovely feel for her sheep. I would consider her to be moderately soft, which is the type of dog I enjoy training. She is great with lambs and patient enough to move them with their mums. I would fault Lyra for being a bit tense in some situations. She can sometimes be a little independent, trying to come up with her own work.
I look forward to progressing with her and am excited to hit some trials with her in 2025.
